Episode 69: Appeals to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals

On this episode of Veterans Legal Lowdown, the CCK team is taking a closer look at the process for appealing decisions to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. In February 2019, VA officially implemented the Appeals Modernization Act (AMA). In this new appeals system, veterans have three lanes for appealing a decision from VA. Within the third lane, the Notice of Disagreement/Board appeal lane, veterans must choose between three dockets: the evidence docket, direct review docket, and hearing docket.
