Episode 8: Zantac Recall & Cancer Lawsuit
The FDA has recently recalled the drug Zantac (ranitidine) after discovering that it may be contaminated with potentially dangerous substances. Known as NDMA, this ingredient has been linked to an increased risk of cancer in humans. While the recall poses a problem to many people, the veteran community has been especially affected as many veterans have been prescribed Zantac to manage chronic heartburn stemming from service-related conditions like GERD and obesity.
