Episode 117: When Do VA Ratings Become Permanent?

A veteran’s service-connected disability is deemed “permanent” when VA is reasonably certain, based on medical evidence, that the level of impairment will continue for the rest of the veteran’s life. If VA determines a veteran’s condition is permanent, then they are no longer required to attend reexaminations. On this episode of Veterans Legal Lowdown, the CCK team is discussing how to know when your disability rating is permanent. We also review other types of protected disability ratings and situations in which VA can reduce a rating. Be sure to tune in to this informative episode!
