Medical Disability Exam
When going through the scheduling process for a medical disability exam there a few important steps to keep in mind. To begin, within three business days of you receiving the exam request, the vendor will contact you via telephone. At least five days before the appointment date, a confirmation letter will be sent by 1st class letter to ensure you received it. As the appointment approaches, within 24 – 48 hours before the scheduled appointment you will receive a reminder by telephone or email. It is important to make note that you only have one opportunity to reschedule an appointment, therefore if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, you should contact your VA regional office or call 1-800-827-1000.
