Until recently, most claims relating to burn pit exposure were decided on a case-by-case basis. However, on August 10, 2022, the PACT Act was officially signed into law. The PACT Act added 23 new conditions to the presumptive list for toxic and burn pit exposure and clearly defined eligibility criteria.
