CCK Law: Our Vital Role in Veterans Law

On August 8, 2023, four Attorneys General from California, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee co-sponsored a letter in support of the Governing Unaccredited Representatives Defrauding VA Benefits Act (the GUARD Act). It was signed by 40 other Attorneys General from across the U.S.

The GUARD Act, if passed, would hold unaccredited bad actors accountable for their actions in charging fees for initial claims. It would also protect veterans from being scammed. This act would reinstate criminal penalties for unaccredited and unregulated representatives.
