What Services Are Available at CCK Law’s Offices?
Every CCK Law office supports the firm’s core practice areas: veterans disability benefits, VA appeals, and long-term disability and ERISA claims. Veterans law matters make up the majority of the firm’s work.
- Veterans Disability Benefits and Appeals — help pursuing VA disability compensation and related benefits, including appeals to VA and federal court: Supplemental Claims, Higher-Level Review, Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA) appeals, and appeals to CAVC.
- Bequest Management — helping organizations honor donors’ wishes, accelerate gift distribution, and maximize the impact of bequests.
- Long-Term Disability Claims — assisting with denied or terminated long-term disability insurance benefits.
- ERISA Litigation — litigating employer-sponsored disability insurance plans.
Do I Need To Live Near a CCK Law Office?
No. Clients do not need to live near a CCK Law office to work with the firm.
VA disability claims and appeals follow the same federal laws and procedures in every state, so CCK Law can represent veterans anywhere in the country. Most communication happens by phone, video, email, and mail. Most VA appeals do not require an in-person meeting, and BVA hearings can be held by videoconference. CCK Law maintains regional offices primarily to understand local needs and to support veterans in the communities around each office.
ERISA and long-term disability law, as well as bequest management, are also national practice areas.
What Areas Does Each CCK Law Office Serve?
While the firm as a whole serves veterans in all 50 states, each CCK Law office provides opportunities for learning and more community engagement in nearby states and metropolitan areas.

Why Do Nonprofits Choose CCK Bequest Management?
Nonprofits choose CCK Bequest Management because the firm devotes a full team of attorneys and professionals to bequest administration, charges no fee until a gift is distributed, and protects the full value of every gift nationwide.
- Dedicated focus. A team of attorneys and professionals works exclusively on bequest management, not as a side practice.
- No fee until you are paid. CCK charges nothing until your organization receives its distribution.
- Full legal oversight. The team reviews every document, flags risks and ambiguities, holds fiduciaries accountable, and manages disputes through mediation, pre-litigation, and litigation nationwide.
- Complete visibility. A secure portal and personalized dashboard give your team case status and consistent communication throughout.
- Donor stewardship. CCK honors donor intent and protects the donor relationships that sustain future giving.
Why Do Clients Choose CCK Law’s Long-Term Disability Attorneys?
Clients choose CCK Law’s long-term disability attorneys because the firm concentrates on disability insurance disputes, knows the strict rules of ERISA, and takes on the nation’s largest insurers at every stage of a claim.
- Focused practice. CCK’s attorneys concentrate on long-term disability, ERISA, and related insurance benefit claims.
- Experience against major insurers. The firm has litigated wrongfully denied claims against some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in the nation.
- Every stage of the claim. CCK handles the initial application, the administrative appeal, and litigation in court, including the appeal stage where the evidentiary record often closes.
- ERISA command. The team works within ERISA’s strict deadlines, closed record, and limited remedies, and uses state law protections for private, non-ERISA policies.
- Recognition. CCK has been recognized by Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms,” Super Lawyers, America’s Top 100 Attorneys, and Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent.
How Is CCK Law Involved in Local Communities?
At CCK Law, our commitment to veterans reaches beyond the cases we handle. Through our community engagement program, we work alongside veteran-serving organizations in the places we call home, including metro Atlanta and greater Georgia, Houston, and San Antonio. Our goal is to show up for veterans and their families where they live, gather, and seek support.
Georgia
Much of our work centers on education. Our team regularly leads VA disability benefits and appeals presentations for veterans, caregivers, and the organizations that serve them, helping people understand their rights and navigate a complicated claims process. We share this knowledge freely, both in person and through the free resources CCK Law publishes online, because veterans who understand the process are better equipped to pursue the benefits they earned.
We also invest directly in the community. CCK Law has sponsored and volunteered at Habitat for Humanity veteran home builds, supported monthly grocery distributions for veterans facing food insecurity through Soldiers’ Angels, and taken part in large veteran resource events such as United Military Care’s We CARE Vet Fair. We work with organizations including The Warrior Alliance, VETLANTA, Gateway Center, and NextOp, and we collaborate with universities such as Georgia State and Kennesaw State to support military-connected students.
Rhode Island
In Providence, CCK Law and Roger Williams University School of Law launched the Veterans Disability Appeals Field Clinic at the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. The firm also partners with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Harvard Law School Veterans Legal Clinic and CCK Law attorneys regularly present at continuing legal education programs and serve in leadership roles in the legal community.
Texas
From the San Antonio office, CCK Law hosts free live webinars that help Texas veterans understand VA claims, appeals, and commonly overlooked benefits such as Aid & Attendance and total disability based on individual unemployability (TDIU). The firm has offered sessions in both English and Spanish, each with live question-and-answer time.
CCK is proud to play a part in leading the Texas legal community. Bradley W. Hennings and Christine Clemens are leaders in the Texas military and veterans bar. Brad serves as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Military and Veterans Law Section for the 2026–2027 Bar Year, with Christine as Vice-Chair, and both are active in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
What Do CCK Law Clients Say?
Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
If the VA has denied your claim, don’t give up until you have spoken with Chisholm, Chisholm and Kilpatrick. After well over 2 years of unsuccessful attempts on my part, including having an appeal denied, this firm went to bat for me. And within 6 months, I began receiving monthly benefits as well as retroactive compensation. Thank you, CC&K!
Dorthy S.

Frequently Asked Questions About CCK Law's Offices
Do I Ever Need To Visit a CCK Law Office in Person?
Most CCK Law clients never visit an office. Consultations, document exchange, and case updates are handled by phone, video, email, and mail. Even Board of Veterans’ Appeals hearings can be held by videoconference, so a veteran can pursue an appeal from home in any state.
Which CCK Law Office Should I Contact?
Veterans can contact any office through one intake process: call 800-544-9144 or submit the online contact form. The firm routes each inquiry to the right team, so choosing an office is not necessary. Veterans near an office are welcome to note their location when they reach out.
Can CCK Law Represent Veterans in States Without an Office?
Yes. CCK Law represents veterans in all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, because federal rules are the same in every state. The firm’s offices exist to support regional outreach, not due to practice limitations.
Does CCK Law Charge for an Initial Consultation?
No. CCK Law offers a free case evaluation. An intake team member gathers information about the claim or appeal, and the firm follows up after reviewing the case. As of 2026, federal law also prohibits attorneys and agents from charging veterans a fee to file an initial VA claim.
Is CCK Law Opening Additional Offices?
CCK Law continues to grow its team and its outreach. New office locations will be announced on this page and on the firm’s social media channels.
