Michael D. Lostritto

Michael is a Partner at Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick. He joined CCK Law in September 2016 and previously served as Supervising Attorney and most recently as a Managing Attorney in the firm’s Veterans Law practice. As a VA-accredited attorney, Michael’s area of practice focuses exclusively on the representation of disabled veterans and their families before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).

Michael is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA) and has presented and organized numerous continuing legal education events that have focused on service-connected VA benefits and appeals, as well as VA’s appeals reform legislation. Michael has also presented webinars on maximizing expert vocational evaluations in VA claims.

Michael graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany in 2009 and earned his J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2014. During law school, Michael served as an Associate Editor on the Albany Law Review and was a law clerk in New York’s Third Judicial District. Michael has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2025) for his exceptional work in Appellate Practice. Prior to joining CCK, Michael practiced as a litigation attorney representing hospitals and medical providers at a law firm in Albany, New York.
