John F. Kilpatrick
Jack joined CCK in March of 2025 as an Attorney in the Bequest Management practice of the firm. His practice focuses on representing national charities and nonprofit organizations in fulfilling the wishes of their charitable donors while maximizing gifts and minimizing any administrative burden.
Jack graduated from Boston University in 2016, earning a B.A. in psychology. He then attended Tulane University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2020. While at Tulane, he worked in the Civil Rights & Federal Practice Clinic and earned the Clinical Legal Education Outstanding Clinic Student Award. He held internships at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Rhode Island and the Eastern District of Louisiana. He then worked as a student attorney for the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General.
After law school, Jack rejoined the Attorney General’s Office as a Special Assistant Attorney General. He spent the majority of his time in the office working in the Narcotics and Violent Crime Unit. He was responsible for investigating, charging, and prosecuting some of the most serious and violent crimes in Rhode Island. Jack has tried many cases before judges and juries including multiple life imprisonment cases to verdict.
Jack is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Association for Justice. In his free time, Jack enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with his wife and their English springer spaniel, Goose.
