Rhode Island-based law firm Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD (CCK Law) is proud to announce the promotion of four distinguished attorneys—Maura Black, Lindy Nash, Amy Odom, and Emma Peterson—to the position of Partner at the firm.

Maura Black is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law and began her legal career at CCK Law in 2016. She has been instrumental in achieving significant results for the firm’s clients and plays an active role in training and mentoring other attorneys and accredited agents at the firm. Maura has presented at and organized numerous continuing legal education events that have focused on service-connected VA benefits and appeals, VA appeals reform legislation, and petitions for writs of mandamus at the CAVC. She is actively involved with the Federal Bar Association (FBA), serving in leadership positions in the FBA’s Veterans and Military Law Section from 2017 to 2022 and currently as chair of the Sections and Divisions Council. Maura’s deep understanding of veterans law and dedication to justice make her an invaluable member of the team.

Lindy Nash has been with CCK Law since 2016, following graduation from Suffolk University Law School. Lindy focuses on representing national charities and nonprofit organizations, helping them fulfill the wishes of their charitable donors while maximizing gifts and minimizing administrative burden. In addition to her work on behalf of her clients, Lindy serves on the Board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) and as Vice President of Programming on the Executive Board of the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE) and is the Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees at the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL). Her passion for serving others has made her an asset to both her clients and her colleagues.

Amy Odom joined CCK Law in 2018 after ten years with the National Veterans Legal Services Program. A leader in veterans law, Amy has appeared in over 1,500 CAVC cases and has argued several cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has also authored amicus briefs filed with the Supreme Court of the United States. Amy has served as President of the CAVC Bar Association and on the CAVC’s Judicial Advisory Committee. She is a member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA). Her litigation expertise has resulted in impactful decisions that have shaped the field of veterans law. Amy’s extensive knowledge and advocacy skills have earned her a national reputation for excellence in appellate litigation.

Emma Peterson joined CCK Law in 2014 and has been a dedicated advocate for veterans throughout her tenure. A graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law, Emma’s practice is focused on representing disabled veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). She also serves as Treasurer of the CAVC Bar Association and is an active member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA). Emma’s commitment to securing benefits for veterans is unparalleled, and she has earned recognition for her tenacity and compassion in her work.

“Emma, Maura, Amy, and Lindy represent the very best of CCK Law’s values: a commitment to excellence, a passion for justice, and an unwavering dedication to clients,” said Founding Partner Robert Chisholm. “Their leadership and expertise will continue to strengthen our firm and drive our mission forward.”

Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD is honored to celebrate this milestone in the careers of Emma, Maura, Amy, and Lindy and looks forward to their continued contributions to the firm and to their clients.
