R.I. Federal Court Celebrates Its 225th Anniversary
The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island recently celebrated its 225th anniversary. A celebratory program was held on Tuesday, June 23rd and featured a panel of speakers including Senior Circuit Judge Bruce M. Selya, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, Chief Judge Patti B. Saris, U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts and Dr. Gordon S. Wood, Professor of History Emeritus at Brown University. The reception following the program was hosted by the Rhode Island Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. CCK’s Scott Kilpatrick, president of the Federal Bar Association’s Rhode Island Chapter, was one of the many attendees at this event.
