On April 18 Rhode Island attorney Robert Chisholm, was recognized by the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) for his twenty-five years of service to the Court and the veterans legal bar. Chief Judge Lawrence B. Hagel presented Mr. Chisholm with The Hart T. Mankin Distinguished Service Award at the annual CAVC Judicial Conference held in Washington, D.C. This is one of the highest honors bestowed on CAVC practitioners, and is awarded only once every few years. As stated on the award itself, the award is in recognition of Robert Chisholm’s and his firm’s 25 years of outstanding service to the Court; his unlimited willingness to participate in Court conferences and present on a variety of veterans law panels; his energetic service as founding member, second President, and avid long-term supporter of the CAVC Bar Association; and his continuous support and mentorship of others in the field through veterans law outreach and education efforts and the work of his law firm, Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD.
