Infographic: Appeals at the VA could be completely transformed

On August 2, 2017 the Senate unanimously passed the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act of 2017, which would completely transform the VA disability benefits appeals process.

The appeals reform bill was passed by the House in May. But changes to the bill made by the Senate must be approved by the House before it is sent to the President’s desk to be signed. If passed, the Act would take effect 18 months after it is enacted.
