On Saturday September 9th, Attorney Jenna Zellmer represented Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick at the CAVC Bar Association’s first Honor Flight Event with the Honor Flight Network. A 501(c)(3) organization, the Network brings veterans to Washington, D.C. to honor their service. During the veterans’ visit, they go to various memorials around the city honoring veterans, their service, and sacrifice for our country.
A little bit about the Honor Flight Network
The Honor Flight Network program was the idea of Earl Morse, a physician assistant and Retired Air Force Captain. The first Flight took place in May of 2005. Taking off from Springfield, Ohio, six planes brought twelve World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the WWII memorial. Soon after, the Honor Flight Network transitioned to using commercial airplanes in order to accommodate as many veterans as possible on their Honor Flights.

Many of CCK’s attorneys are members of NOVA and attend its conferences twice a year to educate other attendees about Veterans Law. Several CCK team members have presented at NOVA conferences, including Robert V. Chisholm, Jonathan Greene, Cathy Derrig, Michelle Detore, Kerry Baker, and Zachary Stolz.
