CCK Settles Case On Behalf Of Coast Guard Veteran

CCK successfully settled a case last month on behalf of a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who served in the early 1990s.  The veteran had a 60% rating for a cardiac condition that caused shortness of breath, dizziness, and fainting.  VA reduced his rating to 30%, and while his appeal of that reduction was pending, reduced him again to 10%.  CCK took his case to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and after a full briefing, VA agreed to restore his original 60% rating back to the date of the first reduction.  The settlement will result in over seven years of retroactive benefits for the client.
