How to Watch us on Facebook LIVE

March 8, 2018
Facebook LIVE|Facebook LIVE|||

Facebook LIVE is a way for us at Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD to engage and interact with our Facebook community.  It is our goal to keep you informed on key issues affecting the veteran community and provide you with digestible insight into the many aspects of VA’s complex claims and appeals process. It is our hope that by watching our Facebook LIVE videos, you will walk away feeling as though you have gained a better understanding of the topics covered. We have assembled this blog post to make the information we provide more easily accessible to our Facebook followers who have not consumed, or are new to, live videos on Facebook.

How to find our Facebook LIVE videos

You are able to watch Facebook LIVE broadcasts on your mobile phone, tablet, or home computer. Live videos being broadcast from people you follow (like us) will appear in your News Feed. You will know a video is live when you see a red icon in the top left corner of the video, like this one:

If you would like to stay up-to-date on all of our posts and live videos, Facebook has incorporated a “see first” feature that allows you to see these posts at the top of your News Feed. If you would like to see our posts and videos at the top of your news feed, visit Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD on Facebook, hover over the “following” tab just below our cover photo, and select “see first,” as shown:

If you would like to be notified as to when we begin a live video, you may do so with the “live notifications” feature. You can activate live notifications by clicking into an ongoing or previous Facebook LIVE post and selecting the ellipse (…) symbol at the top right. A dropdown menu will appear with the option “turn on live notifications”.

When you activate this feature, you will receive a notification each time we begin a Facebook LIVE session. These sessions are usually held only once per week, so enabling this option will ensure that you do not miss out on any valuable information!

While watching

Once you have successfully found and are watching our Facebook LIVE broadcast, make sure that the volume on your device (e.g. computer) is turned up, as well as the volume on the video itself (in the bottom right corner of the video).

If you have any questions while watching our live recording, we encourage you to ask them in the comment box below the video, and we will answer them to the best of our ability. Once our live session has finished recording, the video will remain on our Facebook page so that those who may have missed it can still tune in. You may continue to ask questions after the live session is over, and we will reply to you as soon as possible. If you believe that seeing the information presented in our video would benefit your Facebook friends, click “share” under the post to help spread that helpful knowledge.

If you would like to reach our office via Facebook, please refrain from submitting your private information in the comment section, and message us directly instead.
